Terms & Conditions
The commitments, agreements, and expectations between TRAVELOA and our travellers.
Booking & Travel Agreement
By requesting a personalized itinerary or confirming a booking with TRAVELOA, you agree to the terms described below. These terms are designed to ensure fair, transparent, and safe operations across Kashmir, Ladakh, and spiritual circuits.
Effective date: August 2026 · TRAVELOA Tours & Journeys
1. Custom Itineraries & Quotations
All published journey rates on TRAVELOA are indicative starting points. Final quotes are personalized based on your exact dates, party composition, room categories, seasonal tariff changes, vehicle choice, and special inclusions.
- Price Validity: Written quotations provided by our concierge desk remain valid for 7 days from issuance.
- Inclusions Guarantee: All items explicitly listed under "Inclusions" in your confirmed itinerary are guaranteed with no hidden surcharges.
2. Payment Schedule
Advance Confirmation Deposit (30%)
Secures your reserved boutique stays, houseboat inventory, and dedicated vehicle with chauffeur.
Final Balance Settlement (70%)
Payable 15 days before your trip departure, or upon arrival in Srinagar/Leh as mutually agreed in writing.
3. Weather, Road Blocks & Mountain Force Majeure
Travel across the Himalayas (e.g. Zoji La, Razdan Pass, Khardung La, Sinthan Top) is subject to natural elements, unannounced landslides, heavy snowfall, and military border advisories.
Adaptive Itinerary Protocol:
If a mountain pass is officially closed by traffic authorities, TRAVELOA's 24/7 ops desk will immediately activate pre-planned alternative valley halts (e.g., rerouting from Gurez to Yusmarg/Doodhpathri or arranging alternative accommodations). Additional accommodation costs incurred due to force majeure road closures will be settled at net partner rates.
4. Cultural Reverence & Environmental Respect
We travel in fragile mountain ecologies and deeply spiritual communities:
- Spiritual Sites: Modest dress and adherence to local customs (head coverings in gurdwaras and shrines, removal of footwear) is respectfully required.
- Leave No Trace: Single-use plastic bottles must be disposed of responsibly in designated valley collection points.
5. Identity Documents & Border Permits
All travellers must carry valid original government-issued photo IDs (Passport, Aadhaar, Voter ID; PAN card is not valid ID for border checkposts) during the entire journey.
